Kate Cantwell

KateCantwell

Kate is an ambulance paramedic with six years experience and is currently based at Metropolitan Ambulance Service Central Branch in Melbourne CBD.

Additionally, Kate is involved with the University of Melbourne in research concerning the pre-hospital treatment of heroin overdoses in Melbourne. Kate is also a visiting lecturer at Victoria University, Paramedic Sciences Unit.

Kate's academic interests are in pre-hospital observational epidemiology and biostatistics, having recently completed a Master of Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne. The focus of Kate's study was on the use of ambulance databases to provide evidence for change and evaluation of procedures and guidelines.
