Omer currently heads the Training Section of the Dubai Police Ambulance Department, Dubai, UAE. For the last 20 years prior to his career in the police, he held various administrative positions such as Medical Emergency Supervisor with an oil company from 1981 till 1994, Nursing and Paramedic Instructor and Administrator.

His recognition as member to various fellowship including the National Association of EMS Educators, the International Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch, the Royal Society of Health, and the International College of Tropical Medicine, clearly outlines his inclination in the Pre-
hospital frame of care.

In 1995, when he joined the Police Services, he was initially appointed as an instructor thus conducting various lectures and workshops in both Arabic and English language. His associations duly acknowledge with AHA, NAEMT-AMLS, WADEM, and various well known academic institutions including the Monash University, Australia has made impact in his personal interest and therefore bolstered his cause to educate. His promotion as the Head of The Training Section reflects his numerous contributions such as the development of the Standard Operating Procedures on the Ambulances Department as well as maintaining the Quality of Care given to the People of Dubai, UAE.
