Brenda Costa-Scorse
Brenda is the Head of School for Auckland University of Technology's dynamic School of Paramedic and Emergency Specialties.

Brenda's enthusiasm for Paramedic and Emergency Management education is contagious. She has a long successful track record teaching Advanced Paramedics in NZ and has been one of the key, academic developers at the Auckland University of Technology credited with moving Paramedic education from diploma to degree level.

Brenda is presently studying toward a Master of Health Science. Her research areas of interest include: injury severity assessment; the effectiveness of assessing Paramedic clinical reasoning with high fidelity clinical simulation compared with use of a viva voce; comparison of patterns of injury in two NZ ski-fields; and disaster recovery, ways in which to promote community resilience after catastrophic events.
